Tim Bastmeyer is a Canadian blues singer/songwriter. Tim started his musical career in 1986 and over the years has played and recorded with a number of different recording artists. Tim has performed throughout North America, as well as the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Scotland and England. He has shared the stage with some of Canada’s Juno winning blues players and Grammy winning blues players from The United States.
Playing electric and acoustic guitar, Tim incorporates different styles of blues using finger picking, flat picking techniques, and multiple tunings with slide guitar. This allows Tim to have versatility in his playing. Tim is also a producer, engineer, and music teacher. He has produced award- winning recordings and engineered countless recording projects (music and foley). Tim is currently teaching in Uxbridge, Ontario.
A new album has been released. The self-titled album features eleven new tracks: ten originals , and a version of Going Down by Don Nix. Band members include James Thomson on bass, Corey Richardson on drums, Juno winner Julian Fauth on piano, and Tim on guitar and vocals.
