Sit back and enjoy the musical ride as these 3 lovely women share their musical talents. Travelling from London On & Toronto O’Reillys brings you Allison Brown, Nancy Dutra & Willow Rutherford.
A Souwesto songbird with a big voice Allison Brown likes her religion a little bit gritty, takes her country music with a side of syrup and keeps her folk as dusty as the ol’ cabin floor. With a hatful of broken hearts, bad weather, toils of the road and leaps of faith, Allison’s crafted originals matched with classic roots repertoire reflect the striking conviction she brings to her sweet and powerful singing.
Nancy Dutra’s pure, sweet, soulful voice perfectly complements her poignant songs, giving them a timeless quality. Some of Dutra’s material sounds as if it could have been written 50 years ago but spend some time with this young lady and you discover she is very much a woman of today who is determined to blaze a path that will allow her to perform for new audiences across the country and around the world.
Willow Rutherford was raised in the wilds of Southern Ontario. She once witnessed the tornado that hit Barrie in the ’80′s. Pink insulation, tooth floss, converted rice and hobby horses filled the sky. When her bed landed in a tree, she climbed down and discovered a strange instrument, later informed that it was an accordion. Upon first surprising squeeze, she was hooked and has never looked back. Since then, she has traveled the world writing songs about hysterical love, historical magical realism and nature’s unpredictability…
